Hidden Items

In each mission you'll discover special hidden weapons scattered around the environment, with some locations and availability varying with the selected difficulty level. Shields are extremely important in some situations, and can turn the tide of a battle easily. They'll provide you with extra protection and can almost guarantee you victory. On the Agent setting, two shields are hidden within each mission. One shield awaits on Special Agent (although some have none), and naturally on Perfect Agent there's none. Listed here are the locations of the shields and hidden weapons.

dataDyne Central - Defection
Laptop Gun (PA): After holding up the programmer, allow him to run off to find help and he'll dash over to the elevators and open the locked door to the right. Go inside the small room to find the Laptop Gun. Double Falcon 2: Dropped by the shock trooper on the third floor down, next to the programmer's room.	Shields (A): The first shield is dropped by one of the guards on the floor below Cassandra's office. The second shield is on the ground floor, hiding next to one of the elevators. Shield (SA): A guard on the floor below Cassandra's office drops one.

dataDyne Research - Investigation
Double CMP150: Get down to the area where you re-program the cleaning bot without being seen by any guards, and activate the terminal in the small adjacent room to open the weapons cache. Proximity Mine: On the floor behind the radioactive isotope. You'll sustain some damage while retrieving the mine.	Shields (A): In the large room near the start of the mission the shield will be lying atop a crate. The second shield is in the room right after you pass through the hallway with lasers. Turn left as you enter the room and the shield is within the glass enclosure. Shield (SA): Just after the hallway with lasers, in the glass enclosure.

dataDyne Central - Extraction
Grenade, Dragon: Get up to the ground floor lift without taking damage (including Dr. Caroll), and blast the guard on the upper levels to retrieve Cassandra's office key card. Enter her office, take the grenade on her desk and blow open the wall in the corner on the right (facing the window) and the Dragon will be waiting inside. DY357 Magnum: Take down the first five guards without being seen and the fifth guard will drop a Magnum (stand far back from them and they won't see you).	Shields (A): Once you reach the upper floors, go into the small room once you leave the elevator to find the shield. Shield (SA): There is no shield.

dataDyne Central - Extraction

Grenade, Dragon: Get up to the ground floor lift without taking damage (including Dr. Caroll), and blast the guard on the upper levels to retrieve Cassandra's office key card. Enter her office, take the grenade on her desk and blow open the wall in the corner on the right (facing the window) and the Dragon will be waiting inside.

DY357 Magnum: Take down the first five guards without being seen and the fifth guard will drop a Magnum (stand far back from them and they won't see you).

Shields (A): Once you reach the upper floors, go into the small room once you leave the elevator to find the shield.

Shield (SA): There is no shield.

Carrington Villa - Hostage One
Devastator: Blow open one of the crates at the helipad to find the Devastator. You can find ammo for it inside the crates leading up to the observatory. Double CMP150: Dropped by the first sniper near the helipad. You must blast him in under 38 seconds. Sniper Rifle (PA): You'll find it lying on the floor in the bathroom.	Shields (A): The first shield is lying on top of a crate near the helipad. The second shield is lying on the ground in the bathroom. Shield (SA): There is no shield.

Chicago - Stealth
Bombspy: The Bombspy is found inside the large dumpster next to the stacked barrels. Move the bin next to the barrels and shoot them to open the bin. You can use the Bombspy to eliminate the guards at the end of the mission to easily complete it. Double Falcon 2 (scope): Go down to the Pond Punk bar and make a lot of noise around the entrance so that a guard opens the door. The Falcon 2 is lying atop one of the bar tables.	Shields (A): The first shield is resting just underneath the grate near the taxi. The second shield is hidden underneath the ramps leading down to the Pond Punk. Shield (SA): The shield is lying under the grate near the taxi.

Chicago - Stealth

Bombspy: The Bombspy is found inside the large dumpster next to the stacked barrels. Move the bin next to the barrels and shoot them to open the bin. You can use the Bombspy to eliminate the guards at the end of the mission to easily complete it.

Shields (A): The first shield is resting just underneath the grate near the taxi. The second shield is hidden underneath the ramps leading down to the Pond Punk.

Shield (SA): The shield is lying under the grate near the taxi.

G5 Building - Reconnaissance
Crossbow: Knock out the second cloaked guard in the first room instead of shooting him and he'll drop a Crossbow along with his CMP-150 and the key card. N-Bomb (SA + PA): You must first have placed the remote mine on the upper exit in the previous mission, then go to the upper exit above the safe room and the N-Bomb will be waiting there.	Shields (A): The first shield is lying just before the door leading into the laser switch room. The second shield is on the staircase leading to the upper exit of the fire escape. Shield (SA): The shield is lying on the staircase leading to the upper exit.

Area 51 - Infiltration
Double MagSec 4: After you place the comms rider bug on the antenna (SA + PA) the door leading inside Area 51 will open and a group of guards will come out. The armored guard has two MagSecs. Rocket Launcher: Next to the large area containing the elevators leading down to the hangar, there is a small helipad with a Rocket Launcher sitting on it. It is surrounded by a mine field, but you can easily make it past them. Go up to the hole in the fence, face the right corner of the actual helipad, then walk towards the corner of it and you should make it past the mines. You can then walk up to the small entrance in the large wall to gain access to the hangar area.	Shields (A): In the area with the antenna and the HoverBike, go up to the door which has the gun turret above it (destroy the turret first) and the shield will be lying on the ground. The second shield is hiding in the small passage that connects the mine-field area with the hangar elevator area. Shield (SA): The shield is hiding in the small passage connecting the mine-field to the hangar elevators.

Area 51 - Infiltration

Double Falcon 2 (silencer): Destroy the small blue crate hiding in the cargo room to reveal the Falcon 2. Phoenix: In the previous mission, only knock out the brown technician standing next to the robot air interceptor, then in this mission, once you go up the first large elevator, go right and shoot at the door at the end of the long hallway. The technician will open the door for you so then make your way up to the next floor to find the Phoenix lying near the long window.	Shields (A): Just beyond the first elevator, one of the guards will drop a shield. The second shield is found just after you blow open the wall leading into the research labs, go up the large ramp and then head left into an empty room to find the shield. Shield (SA): The shield is in the room at the top of the sloping corridors.

Area 51 - Rescue

Double Falcon 2 (silencer): Destroy the small blue crate hiding in the cargo room to reveal the Falcon 2.

Phoenix: In the previous mission, only knock out the brown technician standing next to the robot air interceptor, then in this mission, once you go up the first large elevator, go right and shoot at the door at the end of the long hallway. The technician will open the door for you so then make your way up to the next floor to find the Phoenix lying near the long window.

Shields (A): Just beyond the first elevator, one of the guards will drop a shield. The second shield is found just after you blow open the wall leading into the research labs, go up the large ramp and then head left into an empty room to find the shield.

Shield (SA): The shield is in the room at the top of the sloping corridors.

Area 51 - Escape
Double Falcon 2 (scope): Let go of the hover bed at the start of the mission to find the Falcon 2 lying near the two lab technicians. Remote Mines (3): If you can get Elvis to the containment lab within 36 seconds, the remote mines will appear in the room with the first guards carrying SuperDragons.	Shields (A): The shield will be in the small locked room just after the room that you meet Jonathan in (in Agent). Activate the console behind Jonathan and enter the room to find the shield. Shield (SA): The shield is hiding in the locked room behind Jonathan's Agent location.

Air Base - Espionage
Double DY357 Magnum: Dropped by the third NSA bodyguard if you knock them all out. Proximity Mine (4): Go to the area where the air shuttle dropped off the stewardess. The mines are over in the corner of the cliff.	Shields (A): The NSA guard standing at the elevator leading down to Air Force One drops the shield. The second shield is in the safe containing the flight plans. Shield (SA): The shield is in the safe along with the flight plans.

Air Force One - Antiterrorism
Double Cyclone: Knock out the two guards at the bottom of the staircase leading up to the President's room, then use the key cards to open the side doors and retrieve the Cyclones.	Shields (A): At the rear of the plane on the ground floor is a small kitchen. The shield is in the right corner of the room. The second shield is in the large room with the grand piano. Shield (SA): The shield is in the large room with the piano.

Crash Site - Confrontation
Proximity Mine: Go and speak to Elvis before completing any objectives and you'll receive the proxy mines. Hoverbike: In the previous mission, knock out the technician in the cargo hold of Air Force One, then activate the switch in the room with the Hoverbike to lower it down. Then you'll find the Hoverbike near the starting point of Crash Site. DY357-LX: Disarm Trent to get the gold Magnum.	Shields (A): The first shield is lying near Elvis' Maian saucer. The second shield is lying just behind the President's Clone in the dark cave. Shield (SA): The shield is just behind the President's Clone.

Crash Site - Confrontation

Proximity Mine: Go and speak to Elvis before completing any objectives and you'll receive the proxy mines.

Hoverbike: In the previous mission, knock out the technician in the cargo hold of Air Force One, then activate the switch in the room with the Hoverbike to lower it down. Then you'll find the Hoverbike near the starting point of Crash Site.

DY357-LX: Disarm Trent to get the gold Magnum.

Shields (A): The first shield is lying near Elvis' Maian saucer. The second shield is lying just behind the President's Clone in the dark cave.

Shield (SA): The shield is just behind the President's Clone.

Pelagic II - Exploration
Double Falcon 2 (silencer): Beat the guard after passing through the fourth door from the start of this mission. You must make sure that no-one sets off the alarm.	Shields (A): The first shield is lying on a crate in the room with the Moon Pool lift controls. The second shield is outside on the "helipad" just after the bridge. Shield (SA): The shield is on a crate in the Moon Pool control room.

Deep Sea - Nullify Threat
Proximity Mines (3): Beat the guard on the far left after passing through the fourth large door. Make sure Elvis doesn't get him otherwise he won't drop the mines.	Shields (A): The first shield is found at a dead-end corridor. Once you pass through the door and face two branching paths (one left and right) with the teleportal to the right, head left to eventually find the shield. Shield (SA): The shield is found at the dead-end corridor to the left of the first teleportal.

Carrington Institute - Defense
Devastator: Save all the hostages and once you rescue Grimshaw and the other lab technician, Grimshaw will drop a Devastator.	Shields (A): The first shield is in the dead-end corner up next to the elevator near the device training room. The second shield is down in the basement, in the room with the two small hangar doors. Shield (SA): The shield is down in the basement area in the room with the two hangar doors.

Attack Ship - Covert Assault
Slayer: Just after you go up the large elevator, keep going straight ahead and you'll come to a room with four green chambers with Skedars in them. Keep going through to the heavily guarded area and you should find the Slayer. Double Mauler: The large Skedar on the bridge has two Maulers. Shoot him to get the second one.	Shields (A): The first shield is found just after you ride up the large elevator with Elvis. Go forward, then go right to find the shield lying on a table. Shield (SA): The shield is in the room with the Skedar just after you go up the large elevator.

Skedar Ruins - Battle Shrine
Double Phoenix: Destroy the two remaining temple targets with the Devastator (the ones you didn't throw amplifiers on) and the Phoenix will appear just before the ravine.	Shields (A): The first shield is just after the two Skedars with Reapers, go up the stairs to the base of the fallen pillar to find the shield right behind it. The second shield is just after the ravine. When you climb up the ladder, continue and go right. You'll face two Skedar with Reapers before finding this shield. Shield (SA): The shield is just after the ravine to the right, under a Reaper-wielding Skedar.

Skedar Ruins - Battle Shrine

Double Phoenix: Destroy the two remaining temple targets with the Devastator (the ones you didn't throw amplifiers on) and the Phoenix will appear just before the ravine.

Shields (A): The first shield is just after the two Skedars with Reapers, go up the stairs to the base of the fallen pillar to find the shield right behind it. The second shield is just after the ravine. When you climb up the ladder, continue and go right. You'll face two Skedar with Reapers before finding this shield.

Shield (SA): The shield is just after the ravine to the right, under a Reaper-wielding Skedar.

Mr Blonde's Revenge
Double CMP150: Dropped by a guard in the room just before the lab elevator.	Shields (A): The first shield is hiding next to one of the ground floor elevators. The second shield is dropped by one of Cassandra's bodyguards on the floor below her office. Shield (SA): A guard on the floor below Cassandra's office drops one.

Maian SOS
Psychosis Gun: In the room in front of you with the lab technician. The gun is on the desk. Double DY357-LX: After leaving the long hallway at the start of the mission, head right and you should find a guard holding two DY357-LX's. Use the Psychosis Gun on him so that he blasts heaps of guards before he goes down.	Shields (A): Unknown Shield (SA): There is no shield.
